Laguiole Waiter's Knife
The Laguiole folding waiter's knife is the 'evergreen' of the Jean Dubost collection. When the company was founded more than 100 years ago, the first copies rolled off the assembly line. The chic model was specially developed around 1920 for sommeliers of the leading Parisian cafes. The current corkscrew hardly differs from the original, proof that it functions excellently and cannot really be improved. The spiral is made of strong, stainless winding wire with a sharp point, which prevents the cork from crumbling or breaking off. This prevents one of the biggest irritations for wine lovers.
The elegant handle comes in different and special types of wood such as jenever, oak, olive, wenge and rosewood. But there are also simpler variants with a plastic handle in black, ivory white or imitation wood pattern. There is also a small folding blade hidden in the handle with which the capsule can be cut off. The waiter's knife is completely produced in France and packed in a luxurious and handy storage box made of wood and provided with a certificate of authenticity. In short, the ideal gift for both the professional sommelier and other serious wine lovers!
