The serving spoon has a stainless steel blade, a plastic handle and an aluminum ornament in the middle. The materials are of very solid quality. The blade is 1.8 mm thick, does not bend and is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The handle is made of acrylic, a strong plastic with a shiny effect. The color will not wear off because it is applied throughout the handle (and not as a thin coating on the surface).

The serving spoon is 28.5 cm long. The dimensions of the metal spoon part are: 17 cm long and 6.5 cm wide. It is a spoon that fits comfortably in the hand and is well suited for serving rice, potatoes and vegetables due to the large spoon surface. But the not too deep spoon can also be used excellently for serving oven dishes, meat, fish, one-pot dishes and sauces.

The serving spoon is dishwasher safe. We recommend washing it at a maximum temperature of 55˚ C.

PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is a transparent thermoplastic better known as acrylate. This strong plastic can be easily modelled into all kinds of shapes when heated.

Technical information blade:

AISI 430 is a stainless steel type to which chromium has been added. This type of steel is often used for cutlery because it can be shaped well (spoons and forks), has a strong gloss layer and does not rust quickly.

18/10 stainless steel is a type of steel to which 18% chromium and 10% nickel have been added. Chromium gives the steel a durable shiny finish and nickel protects against rust. There are also types of cutlery steel (18/8 and 18/0) to which less or almost no nickel has been added. These are slightly less resistant to rust.
